Superwoman Project Internship/Mentorship Program

The Superwoman Project seeks an enthusiastic and passionate intern to help manage a growing online community of professional and creative women. This role reports directly to Founder and CEO, Jessica Williams. 

The Superwoman Project internship program is an exciting opportunity that offers access to resources, tools and community to inspire and develop you as a professional and leader in your field. You will be connected to a community of women all over the world, and you will receive expert career and leadership advice to advance your professional and creative endeavors. This is more than an internship, this is an educational and mentorship program for one bright, enthusiastic and ambitious college senior or recent graduate. As the Superwoman Project intern you will be an integral part of a global initiative to elevate women to power and you will professional experience you can put on your resume.

Social and Digital Media Intern

Job Description:

The roles and responsibilities include:

  • Schedule social media posts

  • Edit and produce a weekly newsletter

  • Publish podcast episodes

  • Publish weekly blog posts

  • Publish weekly videos

  • Manage community engagement

  • Attend a bi-weekly meeting

All content will be provided and you will be in charge of any final edits and publishing to the website, MailChimp and all social media platforms.

This position requires a minimum of 10 hours of work/ week.

Location and Commitment:

Seattle or Portland area. This position does not require you to travel to the office and will be a work from home position. You will be required to complete your roles and responsibilities each week with minimal supervision. You will meet with Founder and CEO, Jessica Williams online or in-person every other week to check in on your work and receive mentorship and career coaching and support. 

This position requires a minimum three month commitment. 

Qualifications:

You are great at details and editing copy. You know AP style. You understand how to use social media for business. You are a quick learner, an independent worker and passionate about women’s equality.

Experience with Squarespace, MailChimp (or an equivalent), Photoshop (or an equivalent) and iMovie (or an equivalent) is preferred. Preference will be given to college seniors and recent graduates with a degree in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations.
