Today's interview is with my friend, Sunny Petit and is an inspiring conversation about her journey to become an advocate for women and the challenges women face when rising to positions of leadership in the workplace. We talk about networking, informational interviews and building relationships to support a thriving career.
Sunny Petit is the Executive Director for the Center for Women's Leadership in Portland, Oregon. Prior to joining the Center, she was Regional Director for a counter-human trafficking organization in South Asia and ran legal advocacy and educational programs in India, Bangladesh, and Nepal. She was formerly chair of the Oregon Commission for Women, appointed by Governor Kulongoski, and currently serves on the OHSU Avel Gordly Center for Healing.
I love this conversation because we touch on a variety of societal, cultural and institutional issues facing women in the workplace and how to overcome them.
I hope you enjoy!
