Note sure where to start on contacting your representative?

Write down your thoughts. Speak your heart about an issue that you care about. Here are some topics to get you started: gender-based violence, reproductive rights and women’s health, LGBTQIA rights, worker’s rights, civil rights, immigrant rights, religious freedom, environmental justice or whatever is concerning you.

Tell your story. Explain your story to your representative. Give them a short description of who you are.

Explain why this matters to you. This can be in your story section or in a separate paragraph. Either way, be sure to tell them why you care about this particular concern.

Be specific. Tell your representative that you want them to vote a certain way on a piece of legislation. Tell them you don't approve of the appointment of a particular cabinet member. Tell them you want them to argue a certain way on a particular issue. Ask them to include something specific on an upcoming bill.
