“Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.” ~ Maya Angelou
At the Superwoman Project we help professional women on their journey to becoming more successful, but the word success can be a loaded term.
A lot of people shy away from the word, "success." It's as if the word itself implies a set of unrealistic expectations or outdated standards by which most of us are trying to get away from.
When I came across this quote about success from Maya Angelou, my heart did a little leap.
Yes! That's it, I thought! (Leave it up to Dr. Angelou to get it right every time;)).
Success isn't about striving to achieve something someone told you you should want. Success isn't about material wealth, status and power.
Success is about happiness. It's about liking what you do and how you do it. Booya!
Phew. Doesn't that feel better?
